Overview
As an Employer Admin, you can evaluate learner work and track progress directly within Craft. This includes reviewing submitted activities, updating due dates or time spent when needed, and scoring work using an attached rubric. This evaluation process helps ensure learners stay on track and receive timely feedback as they move through their assigned programs.
Navigating to a Learner’s Activity
Step 1: Navigate to the People page.
Step 2: Select the learner you wish to evaluate from the list. Depending on the number of users in your organization, you may need to navigate through multiple pages. You can also use the search bar to quickly locate a specific learner. Click the learner’s name to access their profile.
Step 3: From the profile page, click Assigned Programs on the left hand sidebar.
Step 4: Once on the Assigned Programs tab, click options next to the learner’s appropriate program. Then, click View Program.
Step 5: Use the left-hand navigation menu to locate the activity you wish to evaluate. You may need to expand several sections to find the correct activity. Once you locate it, click the activity to open it.
Once you have arrived at the activity page, you can begin evaluating the activity.
Evaluating an Activity
The Learner’s Time Spent on an Activity and the Activity Due Date can be updated, if needed. If there is a Rubric attached to the activity, you can include a score. For more information regarding rubrics, please see this article.
For more information on activity requirements, please refer to this article.
Once you have reviewed the Learner’s Activity, you can Approve or Return their work. If you feel a Learner’s activity is incomplete or requires additional work, you can select Return. The Learner will be notified their activity was returned and will have the opportunity to resubmit. If you feel the learner’s work is complete, select Approve.
Updating an Evaluation
If you ever need to update a previously submitted evaluation, simply navigate back to the activity and click Update Evaluation.
If you included any comments, observed dates, or attachments on the previous evaluation, you will have the opportunity to reenter this information with your updated evaluation. Your new evaluation, along with your original evaluation, will appear in the History section of the activity.
Evaluate Before Submission
There may be instances where it is appropriate to submit an evaluation before the learner formally submits their activity - for example, if you observed the learner completing a competency in person. In these cases, navigate to the appropriate activity and click Evaluate Before Submission. Then, submit your evaluation as you normally would.
Please note that if there are any activity requirements the learner must complete, you will not be able to use the Evaluate Before Submission feature. The learner must complete all required components before an evaluation can be submitted.
