Overview
To support compliance and improve reporting, Craft now requires standardized occupation and industry codes for OJL Tracker programs. By using official O*NET occupation codes and NAICS industry codes, programs can align with Department of Labor requirements, enable clearer reporting for partners and funders, and ensure Craft’s data reflects the broader labor market in a consistent, reliable way. This article explains how to add and update these codes to existing programs, where to find the correct options, and what to do in common edge cases.
Adding or Updating Occupation and Industry Codes
Step 1: Navigate to your Program.
Step 2: On the right hand side, you will see a section titled Industry and Occupation Records. Select Edit Codes.
Step 3: Once you select Edit Codes, enter your Industry Code and Occupation Code. If you’re unsure which codes apply to your program, refer to the NAICS website and the O*NET website for more information.
Step 4: Once you have selected the appropriate codes, select Save. Your industry and Occupation codes will now be saved to your program.
In rare or unclear situations where a program does not clearly map to a single industry or occupation, select the closest “best fit” code available. If you’re still unsure which option is most appropriate, reach out to your Craft Customer Success Manager for guidance - they can help ensure your program remains compliant while accurately reflecting its intent.
