What Are Target Ratings?
Target ratings are a helpful tool for setting clear performance expectations within a rubric. As an evaluator, you’ll see these benchmarks highlighted on learner activities where Admins have assigned them. Each target rating identifies the level of performance learners should strive for within each criterion.
If an activity includes target ratings, you’ll see the assigned targets displayed to the right of the rubric’s name when viewing the learner’s submission.
When you open the rubric, the target rating appears at the top-right next to the rubric name, and a target icon is shown above the expected level for each criterion.
Using target ratings during evaluation helps reinforce program expectations, supports consistent scoring, and gives learners meaningful feedback that’s aligned with clear goals.
