User Roles in Craft Connect
Craft Connect has several different roles available for use. Below you will find a description of each role:
Learners
A learner is the apprentice who is completing a job-embedded program. Learners have the ability to:

Complete assignments and submit activities for approval
Edit time spent on an activity and add attachments, links, or comments
View their dashboard to track progress
Report absences from their apprenticeship if absence tracking is enabled
Submit time if program time tracking is enabled
Submit skills for observation if skills observation tracking is enabled
Evaluators
An evaluator is typically the mentor teacher or journeyworker who observes the learner or apprentice and evaluates their work. Evaluators have the ability to:
View and evaluate their assigned learner’s submitted activities
Edit due dates and time spent on an activity within a learner’s submission
View all pending submissions for their assigned learners
Approve learner-submitted time if program time tracking is enabled
Submit skills observations for learners if skills observation tracking is enabled
View reports on the progress of their assigned learners
Instructors
An instructor is often thought of as a “super evaluator.” Once an instructor is added to a plan, they have the ability to:
Create new activities and assign them to learners within their plans
Evaluate activities and either approve them or return them to the learner
Edit due dates and time spent on an activity within a learner’s submission in their plan

Facilitators
Facilitators are typically mentors, supervisors, or worksite leads who support a group of learners by tracking their progress, encouraging engagement, and serving as a first line of guidance.
While they play an important role in learner development, Facilitators do not evaluate assignments or approve activities and can only view learners within cohorts they are assigned to
Facilitators have the ability to:
View assigned learner activity completion status
Track assigned learner progress within Craft
Access dashboards and reports related to their assigned learners

Education Provider Administrators
An Education Provider Admin is an administrator within the education provider organization.
Education Provider administrators have the ability to:
Create learners, evaluators, and administrators within their organization
Create programs, levels, plans, and activities
Enable additional program features such as Time Tracking, Absence Tracking, and Skills Observation Tracking
Assign users to programs within their Education Provider organization and set program dates
View reports on learner progress and overall program health
Manage users and withdraw learners from programs
Evaluate activities and either approve them or return them to the learner
Approve and submit time and skills observations

Employer Administrators
An Employer Admin is an administrator within the employer organization.
Employer administrators have the ability to:
Create learners, evaluators, and administrators within their employer organization
Assign RAP programs created by their sponsor administrator
Evaluate activities and either approve them or return them to the learner
Approve and submit time and skills observations
Sponsor Administrators
A Sponsor Admin is an administrator associated with the sponsor of the Registered Apprenticeship Program.
Sponsor administrators have the ability to:
Create sponsored organizations
Create users within their sponsored organization and within organizations under their sponsor org
Create Registered Apprenticeship Programs and OJL programs and assign them to users within their associated sponsor organizations
Enable additional program features such as Time Tracking, Absence Tracking, and Skills Observation Tracking
View reports on learner progress and program health
Manage users and withdraw learners from programs
Evaluate activities and either approve them or return them to the learner
Approve and submit time and skills observations
