Overview
A sponsored organization is an employer or education provider that is participating in a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). Sponsor admins can create these within Connect. For each sponsored organization that is created, an instance will be created within the Connect, allowing users associated with the organization to view and work within a RAP. Within their respective sponsored organization, Employer or EP admins can create accounts for users, assign learners to the RAP, and track their progress in the program.
What is an employer?
An employer is where the apprentice will be conducting their on-the-job training. Examples include a school district, hospital, restaurant, and many others. This is where the apprentice will be earning a wage.
What is an education provider?
An education provider is where an apprentice is conducting their coursework. This is typically a college or university.
How to create a sponsored organization?
Step 1: Log into your Sponsor Organization, select Organizations from the left-hand navigation.
Step 2: You will see all of your associated Organizations. To create a new organization, select Sponsor an Organization.
Step 3: Select the organization type (Education Provider or Employer), and then enter that organization’s name.
Step 4: You can enter an admin for this organization, although this is optional. If you do not create an admin for this organization now, you can do so later from the People page.
Step 5: Click Create to finalize the organization and create it in Craft.
If you have many organizations, you can expedite this process using the bulk upload template to create multiple organizations via a CSV upload.
