Overview
To set up a Registered Apprenticeship Program in Craft's OJL Tracker you will need to follow these steps:
- Create a RAP
- Create competencies
- Create a Program
- Tag Program
- Assign Users to your Program and RAP
Before this, ensure you have created your sponsored organizations and users.
Create a RAP and Competencies
The competencies you create within your RAP will come directly from the Appendix A within your RAP Standards submitted to the Department of Labor.
If you are not ready to assign users to your RAP at this time, you can do so later.
Create a Program
Now, you will create your program or job-embedded content. The program will include the activities apprentices will be completing and showing proficiency in within their Registered Apprenticeship Program. This article outlines how to Create Program Content.
Step 1: On the left side of the screen, within the navigation bar, click on Programs.
Step 2: Next, click + Add Program.
Step 3: From here, you will have the option to upload your program. You can upload your program either from a spreadsheet using the provided template or you can upload from scratch.
As mentioned above, please see this article for information on how to create program content.
Tag Activities with Competencies
Now, you can use the competency tags you previously created to tag your program activities. Below is an example of how to tag your program. By tagging activities with competencies, you can generate reports that demonstrate how those activities contribute to learner development in specific skill areas. This data is invaluable for accreditation and Workforce reporting requirements. Please take a look at this article for more information. Below you will see how to create competency tags in Craft's OJL Tracker.
Assign Users to Programs and RAPs
The last step will to be assign users to both the appropriate program. You will also need to ensure that your learners have been assigned to your RAP if you did not assign them previously.
To understand how to assign users to the appropriate program, please take a look at the following article: Assign Learners and Evaluators to Programs.
